Ludicra Sport and Exercise Psychology is delivered by Abigail Jackson who is currently undergoing her British Psychology Society Stage 2 training under the supervision of Dr Karl Steptoe. Abigail has always been extensively involved in sport, whether that was competing or coaching (FA level 2). Her love of sport began at a very young age where she took up every opportunity to experience as many sports as possible, including representing swale at discuss and cross country, dancing, hockey, kayaking and playing for Crystal Palace Ladies 1st team from the age of 16 until she left for university. Abigail still plays, but on a recreational level as she commits her time to supporting and developing others to help them reach their full potential.

Abigail studied Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Beckett University. It was during her time at Leeds Beckett that she fell in love with sport psychology as it was evident it that it was relatable to her as her mindset had always held her back from taking that next step in her playing career. After graduating from Leeds Beckett, she continued her studies by completing a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology (University of Greenwich), a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Psychology (London Metropolitan University) and is now completing a PhD at the University of Essex. Abigail is in her final stages of gaining chartership and registration with the Health Care Professions Council as a practitioner in Sport and Exercise Psychology.

Abigail believes that the knowledge she has gained during her academic journey as well as being a player and a coach allows her to understand the potential psychological needs and perspective of all three.
